These bronze medallions were given to qualified First Aiders after passing their first three exams from 1879 to about the middle of the 20th century. The First Aider received a date bar for each year in which he or she passed a refresher course. Recipients attached the bars to a chain connected to the medallion. This medallion was issued to Charles Kiff and has twenty-three (23) bars from 1929 to 1957 with gaps in 1936, 1937, 1942, 1943, 1944, and 1945.
This training medallion was donated by the family of Charles Kiff.
